- If the economy front seats and emergency seats are available for booking, you may purchase them at the airport for the same price.
- Transportation disadvantaged (disabled, pregnant women) can use dedicated seats for free.
- The currency applied to the entire itinerary will be based on the first point of departure. (KRW applies for itineraries departing from Korea; USD or other applicable local currencies apply for departures from other countries.)
- e.g. ICN–LAX–ICN: KRW applies for all segments, LAX–ICN–LAX: USD applies for all segments
- However, departures from Vietnam will be charged in USD, not in the local currency.
Purchasing information
- Purchases can be made on the website, the mobile app, or through Reservations up to 3 hours before the departure of the flight.
- Economy front seats and emergency seats can be purchased at the check-in counter on the day of the flight, but only when the seats are available can they be purchased at the same price as seats purchased in advance.
Cancellations or refunds
- Seats that were purchased in advance can be cancelled or refunded only up to 48 hours before the boarding date.
- If changing/cancelling an itinerary,
- Purchases made in advance are automatically cancelled and refunded if the cancellation is made at least 48 hours before departure.
- Seats that were purchased in advanced are automatically cancelled but not refunded if the purchase is made less than 48 hours before departure.
- Refunds and cancellations can be made on the website or through reservation center.
Note
- Seats purchased in advanced can only be used by the individual who made the purchase and cannot be transferred to anyone else.
- Front row and exit row seats are located near the galley or restroom, which may result in noise. Passengers may also pass through the front open space during boarding and in flight. As these areas serve as evacuation routes in case of an emergency, all baggage must be stored in the overhead bin or the seat pocket in front of you.
- Purchase of emergency seats
- Passengers who cannot select emergency seats: Passengers who are under the age of 15, are pregnant, have visual or audio impairment, have mobility issues, are elderly or physically vulnerable, are traveling with pets, cannot communicate in Korean or English, or who are in a state of heavy intoxication are prone to experiencing difficulty in following the instructions of flight attendants in emergencies and therefore are not allowed to select these seats.
- If the passenger is deemed unfit to be seated in the emergency exit row at the departure airport on the day of departure, the previously assigned seat will be cancelled and re-assigned.
