Advance purchase of baggage
You can purchase additional allowance for checked-in baggage at a discount if the purchase is made at least 48 hours before departure. (price is based on departure from Korea)

- In the case of Economy Lite or Premium Economy fares, purchase of additional weight for baggage allowance is not possible. You may only pay for extra number of items that can be checked in.
- KRW : Korea departure / Dollar & Other currency : Local departure base
- Up to two pieces of baggage per person can be added.
- If the number of items and weight are both in excess at the same time, the surcharge for each category is added up.

Passengers with a free baggage allowance of 23kg,
60,000 won (excess baggage) will be charged, for the passenger who checks in additional 20kg on flight from Korea to Northeast Asia,
60,000 won (excess baggage) + 25,000 won (overweight baggage) = 85,000 won in total will be charged, for the passenger who checks in additional 26kg on flight from Korea to Northeast Asia. - To prevent safety incidents, the weight of the baggage should be 32kg or less. Any items in excess of 32kg may be rejected.

Purchasing information
- If you are purchasing in advance, please check the allowance for free baggage first.
- Purchases can be made on the website, the mobile app, or through Reservations up to 48 hours before the departure of the flight.
- Baggage purchases can also be made at the check-in counter on the day of boarding, but on-site baggage purchase fees apply.
- Customers using codeshare flights with other airlines or flights and connecting flights operated by partner airlines cannot purchase.
Cancellations or refunds
- Cancellations or refunds are available only until 48 hours before departure. If there is less than 48 hours before departure, cancellations or refunds are not offered.
However, refunds may be offered in cases where the flight is cancelled due to the circumstances of the airline, including delays - If changing/cancelling an itinerary,
- Purchases of baggage allowance made in advance are automatically cancelled and refunded if the cancellation or change is made at least 48 hours before departure.
- Purchases of baggage allowance made in advance with less than 48 hours until the flight departure are automatically cancelled and are not refunded.
- Refunds and cancellations can be made on the website or through Reservations.
Note
- Allowance for baggage purchased in advance can only be used by the individual who made the purchase and cannot be transferred to anyone else.
- Allowance for baggage purchased in advance can be used only at the check-in counter and not at the boarding gate.
If you need more allowance for checked-in baggage, you may purchase extra allowance at the check-in counter. (price is based on departure from Korea)

- The Economy Lite fare is applied to every kilogram in excess of 15kg.
- For Premium Economy, purchase of additional weight is not possible. Only purchase of the allowance for additional number of items is possible.

Criteria : If a passenger with a free baggage allowance of 23kg
checks in an additional 20kg of baggage on a flight Korea-Northeast Asia: KRW 70,000 (for being in excess of the allowed number of items)
If a passenger checks in an additional 26kg of baggage on a flight Korea - Northeast Asia: KRW 70,000 (for being in excess of the allowed number of items) + KRW 30,000 (for being in excess of the allowed weight) = KRW 100,000 in total
If a passenger checks in an additional 26kg of baggage that is 210cm in size on a flight Korea - Northeast Asia: KRW 70,000 (for being in excess of the allowed number of items) + KRW 30,000 (for being in excess of the allowed weight) + KRW 160,000 (for being in excess of the allowed size) = KRW 260,000 in total - To prevent safety incidents, the weight of the baggage should be 32kg or less. Any items in excess of 32kg may be rejected.
- On the Northeast Asia route, payment can be made in USD instead of JPY.
- Additional piece (23kg/1 piece): 70 USD
- Overweight (over 23kg/per kg): 10 USD
- Oversize:
1) Exceeding 159cm but less than 203cm: 80 USD
2) Exceeding 203cm but less than 292cm: 160 USD
